Warm Summer

Relax, you're in the Arbuckles.

Sit in your lawn chair and soak up the sunshine while listening to the rushing water flowing over the waterfalls; get on a floaty and glide over the water, or go down the slide and jump off the diving board in the Blue Hole area at Turner Falls Park.

Launch the boat and fish, take a scenic boat ride, drop an anchor and swim, or ski to your heart's content on Lake of the Arbuckles.

Pick a campsite to relax in or visit with family and friends at Turner Falls Park or Chickasaw National Recreation Area.

Bring your binoculars for a little bird watching or people watching, take a walk in the shade of the trees and see the streams down below, or go on a nature walk with the park rangers at Chickasaw National Recreation Area.

Learn about the native trees, flowers, and animals. Bring a picnic lunch to enjoy under a shade tree. Camp in a tent or bring your RV.

Bring your horse and ride the trails at Veterans Lake or make an appointment with a working horse ranch who will schedule a ride on their horse.

Spend the day at Arbuckle Wilderness. Drive through and feed the exotic wild animals roaming the area from your car or the Safari Bus. Walk through the petting zoo, ride the go-carts, bumper boats, and camel rides.

Cool off by visiting the Travertine Nature Center or come to town to shop the stores.
